3. Don’t place it safe

Don’t shy away from bold patterns; add pattern and pops of color for some personality.

4. Multi-use furniture

For example, use an upholstered piece for a coffee table so it can double as seating.

5. Wall mount surfaces

If you don’t have room for nightstands or a traditional freestanding desk, wall mounting with be a life-saver.
