The holidays are the perfect time to stay in and stay toasty through the bitter winter. And who better to spend some time indoors with than family and friends? Try out the recipes below and impress your loved ones while keeping warm at the same time.

Mulled Wine Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 16 oz cranberry juice
  • 4 oz Apple Jack brandy
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 cup frozen cranberries
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspoons Allspice
  • Cloves (for pricked orange peel)
  • Orange x2
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Allspice

Preparation

  1. Add Cabernet Sauvignon wine, cranberry juice, AJ brandy, diced apples, cranberries, pumpkin puree and allspice to medium sauce pot and simmer 5 minutes.
  2. Let cool slightly and transfer to heat safe carafe.
  3. Add pricked orange peel and cinnamon stick to glass.
  4. Pour warm mixture into prepared glass.
  5. Garnish with pricked orange peel, figs, cooked fruit.


Apple Cider Cocktail

Ingredients

  • Gala apples (x2)
  • 12 oz Apple Cider
  • 2 oz Eau De Vie Pomme
  • 1 oz Fireball
  • Orange, zested
  • Cinnamon
  • Lemons x 2 (to keep apples fresh)
  • Caramel chews
  • Whipped cream
  • Cinnamon
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • Apple chip
  • Granola

Preparation

  1. Caramel apples.
  2. Hollow out apples (keep in acidulated water).
  3. Heat apple cider, Eau De Vie Pomme, Fireball, orange zest, cinnamon.
  4. Pour into hollow, caramel dipped apple.
  5. Dollop of whipped cream.
  6. Garnish with apple chip, cinnamon stick, granola.
  7. Dust with cinnamon.


Cranberry Sauce Martini

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cranberry juice (to freeze)
  • 1/2 cup chopped craisins
  • 4 oz cranberry juice
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz Grand Marnier
  • 1 oz maple syrup
  • ½ lemon, juiced and strained
  • 4 oz soda water
  • Ice
  • Lemon (for pear)
  • Orange peel
  • Mint
  • Fresh cranberries
  • Pear slice
  • Star anise

Preparation

  1. Make ice spheres (add craisins to bottom of each cavity, fill tray ¾ of the way full, cap, press to seal and freeze).
  2. Add ice spheres to glass.
  3. Add ice to cocktail shaker.
  4. Pour cranberry juice, vodka, Grand Marnier, maple syrup, lemon juice into cocktail shaker, shake.
  5. Garnish with lemon twist, mint, cranberries, star anise and pear slice.
  6. Top with soda water.


Pecan Pie Martini

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Pecan liqueur
  • 4 oz Butterscotch Liquor
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Ice
  • Mini pecan pie
  • Crushed candied pecans
  • Whipped cream
  • Orange zest
  • Corn syrup

Preparation

  1. Add ice to cocktail shaker.
  2. Add liqueur to cocktail shaker and shake.
  3. Rim martini glass with corn syrup and candied pecans.
  4. Strain cocktail into glass.
  5. Garnish with mini pecan pie, scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and orange zest.
