There’s no doubt that Christian and Maria from Season 1 of Arranged left everyone in awe of gypsy culture. From the arrangement process to the breakdown of a vocabulary filled with foreign words like “gadji” and “gadja,” the Millers took us on a gypsy journey that we won’t soon forget.
Find out what the drama-filled junior Arranged couple has been up to since Maria broke some pretty big news at the end of Season 1.
Can you give us a quick update on what you’ve been up to since the show ended with your big announcement?
Since the show ended, we have been focused on the baby. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s been an exciting, new process that we couldn’t be more happy to take on.
How has the response been since the show ended? Do people recognize you both when you go out?
Since the show (Arranged) ended, we have been getting more and more responses about how everything is. I feel like the fans want to still be engaged in our life, which is awesome because it shows our fan base truly cares about how we’re doing! Also, getting back to the second part of the question, people have been noticing us all the time! It became sort of a normal thing already, I can’t even tell you how many pictures we have taken with random strangers. In all honesty, we love it though. It makes us feel connected with our fan base.
How has your marriage grown since the end of the show?
Our marriage has grown in a great way since the show has ended. We are now married for a little over a year and a half, so as the marriage progresses, so do we. Also, a baby always helps bond a mother and father closer, which is 100% the case here.
How’s the rest of your family doing? Has Peter found anyone that he’d like to be arranged with?
The rest of the family is doing quite well! My mom and dad are good, and so are my brothers! And about Peter and the whole “arrangement” thing… we’re still playing it by ear. He’s a tough character, as you guys all saw. 😂
Do you feel like more people know about the gypsy culture since the show aired?
I feel like people definitely know more about the gypsy culture since the shows airing. I hope we showed them that beyond our traditions, we are normal people, that live normal lives. You know there’s a lot of stereotypes out there about us. But we tried our best to show the world that those stereotypes are false.
What advice would you have for a young couple entering an arranged marriage?
Some advice that I would give for a young couple being arranged? First and foremost, go watch “Arranged Season 1” and do the exact opposite of what I (Christian) did. Lol. No, on a serious note, the main advice I would give is, trust your family’s decision! Be yourself, trust your family and trust God, and everything will be okay!
